  • 1912    Acquisition of Genesee Park begins

  • 1913    Cement Bill begins construction of Lariat Trail Road

  • 1914    Olmsted makes recommendation of "lands for acquirement"

  • 1914    Acquisition of Little Park (400 acres)

  • 1914    First bison for Genesee Park preserve acquired from Montana

  • 2000    New purchase expands Red Rocks Park to 804 acres

  • 2004    Denver Mountain Parks Foundation formed
